Doa Dhuha

bismillahirrahmanirrahim...


The time of Dhuha begins when the sun is about a spear’s length above the horizon and it continues until the sun reaches its meridian. It is preferred to delay it until the sun has risen high and the day has become hot.


The minimum number of rak’ahs to be prayed is two. The most that the Prophet (SAW) performed was eight rak’ahs. Umm Hani narrated that the Prophet (SAW) prayed eight rak’ahs of Dhuha and made the taslim after every two rak’ahs. (Abu Dawud)


From Abi Umaamah who said: "Allah's Messenger, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam, said:

'Whoever prays the morning prayer in congregation then sits remembering Allah until he sun rises, then stands up ad prays two units of prayer returns with the reward of Hajj and `Umrah.'"

[Majma` uz-Zawaid of al-Haythami 10/104-105] Related by at-Tabarani and its isnad is good. Al-Albani declared it hasan in Saheeh at-Targheeb (1/464)]

Announcement On Zakat Disbursement Exercise

TO ALL CFS STUDENTS WHO ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR ZAKAT

It is with great pleasure, we would like to inform you that the schedule for zakat disbursement exercise for Semester 3, 2011/2012 are as follows :

DATE OF APPLICATION : 12 JANUARY 2012
CLOSING DATE : 31 JANUARY 2012

The zakat application form can be obtained from RMDD / Mahallah Office.

Name List (LATEST) : Relocation of Residents

The registration for Semester 3, 2011/2012 has begun at Mahallah Abu Bak'r As-Siddiq. For those who have not register yet, you may check your name and room number at this blog. You may also check yours at the notice board of Mahallah Fatimah Az-Zahra and Mahallah Abu Bak'r As-Siddiq.

For residents of Mahallah Abu Bak'r, you ought to check your name at the notice board at the mahallah to check for any relocation. You don't have to go to Mahallah Fatimah Az-Zahra for checking. As for former residents of Mahallah Aisyah, you are advised to check yours at Mahallah Fatimah Az-Zahra as to ease you in the registration process, either in Mahallah Umar or Mahallah Abu Bak'r. We would like to inform you that the Add & Drop session for Semester 3, 2011/2012 will be commencing as follows :

ADD/DROP PROCESS IS ONLY APPLICABLE TO
THESE CATEGORIES OF STUDENTS:


1) Students who failed to do Pre-Registration of courses in previous semester

2) Students who failed any courses in Semester 1 and Semester 2, 2011/2012

3) Students who are successful in application to change programme in last semester or
in this semester

4) Students who are coming back from semester leave (medical leave)

5) Re-Admission students in Semester 1, 2011/2012 (Dismissal case)

Time : 8:30 a.m. – 4.30 a.m.
Venue:
1) Multipurpose Computer Lab A – For Sciences programmes students
2) Computer Lab 6 & 7, Annex building, Level 3 – For Arts programmes students

STEP 1 : Collect ADD/DROP FORM at Dept. of Sciences Programmes or Dept. of Arts Programmes starting from 10th January until 13th January 2012 (Please bring your Course Registration Slip (CRS) for Semester 3, 2011/2012 – Print it from the Student’s Portal)

STEP 2 : Meet your Academic Advisor at the ONE STOP CENTRE at AMF hall from 11th – 13th January 2012 to get course(s), group number available and APPROVAL.

STEP 3 : Key-in course(s) and group(s) using online ADD/DROP system at the Computer Lab or your personal laptop. http://prereg.iium.edu.my/cfsreg/

STEP 4 : Submit one copy of ADD/DROP FORM to the staff in charge at the Computer Lab.

STEP 5 : Please print your New Course Registration Slip (CRS).

Semester 3 is just around the corner guys. So, make sure that you are all aware of what is waiting you in this semester. What you need to do and what you need to know. CRS, Important events, all sorts of things. So, you might need to read this notice first, especially to all returning students for Semester 3.

SEMESTER 3, 2011/2012
ACADEMIC MATTERS


Before enroll into classes:

1) Please print your current Course Registration Slip (CRS) for Semester 3, 2011/2012 from Student’s Portal
http://my.iium.edu.my/portal/page/portal/myiium_main_v3

2) Check thoroughly your current CRS. Please ensure the course(s) and group number stated in your CRS is CORRECT and according to your study plan.

3) Classes for Semester 3, 2011/2012 will be started on 11th January 2012. Attendance of classes will be calculated starting from 11th January 2012 onwards.

4) ADD/DROP course is ONLY APPLICABLE to certain categories of students as stated in the ADD/DROP notice.

5) Any amendment in your CRS, please consult with the DOSP or DOAP office as soon as possible before or on 13th January 2012.

6) Please bring your CRS to DOSP or DOAP office for APPROVAL starting from 16th January until 31st January 2012.

7) Any changes in your CRS after the deadline will not be entertained or will be charged.

8) PLEASE COLLECT IMPORTANT EVENTS FOR SEMESTER 3, 2011/2012 AT DOSP/DOAP COUNTER FOR YOUR REFERENCE.

9) STUDENTS PLEASE OBSERVE IIUM DRESS CODE.

Distribution of RM200 Voucher from MOHE

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..

Assalamualaikum to all residents. Kaifa halukum?? InsyaAllah bikhair. Hope that we are all in the pink of health and in our best condition.

We would like to inform you about the distribution of RM200 voucher from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE)  to IPTA students. The distribution will take place as stated as follows :



NOTE :
1. Valid until 31/03/2012.
2. Can’t be changed into cash.
3. The ownership can’t be changed.
4. Only valid with the university official stamp.
5. Valid at any book store all over Malaysia.
6. 1 booklet consists of 4 pieces of RM50 Baucer Buku 1 Malaysia per student.
7. Malaysian students only with active status as at 1 January 2012.
8. Please present CFSIIUM matrix card upon collection of RM200 Baucer Buku 1 Malaysia.
